Fallacious Journalism
Seriously, when it comes to the lame stream media, is there any other kind? This article is a mis-titled, loosely fact based (very loosely) hit piece. Not only that, what they did was probably illegal as hell.

Straw Purchase much? ... Anyone? ... Rossen? ... Rossen?

Internet sales go through an FFL, this 'sting' was simply private sales. Yep, the same 'ole tripe carted out to ban gun shows. Heh, kinda like buying from the classified ads in the local dead tree publication there Sherlock ...

● "police-grade pistol" = normal pistols that people carry everyday

● "semi automatic assault rifle" = normal rifle (it can't be both semiautomatic and assault)

● "meet ’em in a parking lot, and buy a freaking AK-47" = if true (highly unlikely) that one IS an assault rifle. Hmm ... buying unregistered machines guns gets you time in the GrayBar hotel.

● "tactical assault rifle modified to use bullets for an AK-47" = FAIL on two counts ... This had me ROFLMAO! These genious's bought a Simonov, the precursor to the Kalashnikov. Neither assault rifle nor modified, and of course it fires the same round. This statement wins the internetz !1!1!

● "Glock-23 with hollow-point bullets, made to inflict serious internal damage" = Oh, ya mean them Black Talon copkiller boolitz? I carry 'em, cops carry 'em. You should too!

In all seriousness tho', this story is so over the top even the most hardcore hoplophobes probably got a chuckle from it ...

HuffPost Fail

Once again that functional idiot Robert Creamer shows his ass in all of it's inglorious wonder, for everyone to see. But alas ... The Confederate Yankee schools him on the finer points of an intelligently written article in his latest PM post.

It would seem that the blog: 'dispatches from TJICistan' is down. This kind of jackboot thuggery is unacceptable in American society ... WTF?

Sheriff Clarence Dupnik ...
Is taken to the woodshed

"Dupnik needs to recall that he is elected to be a lawman. With each additional comment, the Democratic sheriff of Pima County is revealing his agenda as partisan, and, as such, every bit as recklessly antagonistic as the talk-show hosts and politicians he chooses to decry"

Simply Amazing ...
i tell ya, how the knees are still jerking like Beyonce' having a seizure.

New York Republican Rep. Peter King (moron) needs to be replaced ... He plans to introduce legislation banning the carrying of any firearm within 1,000 feet of “high-profile government officials.”

Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert is planning to draft a measure allowing members of Congress to carry firearms in D.C., including the Capitol and the House floor.

The Senate's sergeant at arms Terrance Gainer, says "It's not a good idea for lawmakers to carry guns for personal protection"

In other news, handgun sales have literally skyrocketed in the past week, particularly Glock sales. Last figures I've seen for sales was a 65% increase here in the Buckeye. It's a safe bet that all of the 33rd. Glock mags will be a hot item at the local gun show. I can see it now, someone will have a sign reading: "Get yours before their banned" ...

Typical Knee Jerks
We have Dem. Rep. Bob Brady of Pennsylvania continuing the PC pussification of America, as he plans to introduce a bill that would ban symbols like that now-infamous campaign crosshair map. What's next Congressman, banning the reading of the constitution as well? Posting The Bill of Rights? I took a lot of crap from readers awhile back for posting this pic of my range target. So what? Here it is again for your viewing pleasure. Or not ...

Some of our lawmakers want to be able to carry concealed firearms  and protect themselves. That's fine be me, but do take a CCW course and go through the same steps as your States constituents have to. Don't just become deputized by the U.S. Marshals office as a 'special deputy'. You do not have special privileges since you volunteered for the job ...

Good ole Dem. Rep. Carolyn "I believe it's a shoulder thingy that goes up" McCarthy of New York wants to pass another ban aimed at higher capacity clips magazines. “My staff is working on looking at the different legislation fixes that we might be able to do and we might be able to introduce as early as tomorrow” she blathered on ...

Dem. Sen. Frank  R. "Mr. Amendment" Lautenberg said he’s preparing to introduce a similar bill in the Senate. “The only reason to have 33 bullets loaded in a handgun is to kill a lot of people very quickly,” and “These high-capacity clips simply should not be on the market“ he mistakenly opines ...

And we have the media . Reporters that don't do any research, and their lazy editors that are just as dumb. The only thing they are interested in is "getting out the story" regardless of the facts and discrepancies. I get very annoyed with having to explain over and over again that clips and magazines are not interchangeable. If hollywood and the media would use the proper nomenclature this wouldn't happen as often. That right there is a sad thought as well. The sheeple of this nation don't understand this stuff, because instead of reading or thinking for themselves they watch the idiot box like frackin' zombies ...

RE: Ohio SB239
The "Guns In Bars" Restaurant Carry bill currently working it's way through the Ohio House is not a new idea, as can be seen from this map :
Restaurant Firearms Carry States

I personally can legally carry concealed in any of Ohio's surrounding states while NOT consuming alcohol. Just.not.here. Conversely the hypocrisy of the FOP  in 2007, for insisting on some changes to HB203 has exempted them from being just like you and I ...

SB239 will correct this arrogant "The Only Ones" capable attitude of those whom work for us.

What this bill does is, well ... let's KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) shall we ... a simple flowchart.

Here are some compelling videos before various committees of Ohio's state legislature.

Big Brother Is Watching You ...

VIA: CNS News.com

Anyone who posts comments on the White House’s Facebook, MySpace, YouTube and Twitter pages will have their statements captured and permanently archived by the federal government, according to a plan that the White House is now seeking a contractor to carry out.

In mid-August, the White House put out a “request for quotation” (RFQ)which seeks bids from private firms for the project. Under the terms stated by the White House, the contractor would have broad responsibilities in collecting information from White House related Web pages.

“Publicly-accessible sites may include, but are not limited to social networking sites,” says the RFQ

The document also says, “The contractor shall include the information posted by non-EOP persons on publicly-accessible web sites where the EOP maintains a presence.” This would include “both comments posted on pages created by EOP and messages sent to EOP accounts on those web sites.”

The RFQ says: “Currently, the government team is capturing the data and content.” It does not specify, however, whether the data and content that is currently being captured by the government includes the comments posted by citizens on the White House social networking sites, as the RFQ envisions an outside contractor would do once that contractor is hired.

As of Sept. 1, 10 private firms have shown an interest in the project.

Just having someone (a snitch) send them a comment containing a link to your post would be enough to get someones attention ...

Confuzzled ...
30+ states have made 'Sovereignty Resolutions' and a handful of states have even taken them a step further with 'Firearm Freedom Acts'. Tennessee and Montana have already been told, by the BATFE, to more or less, go pound sand ...

Now we have a bill, [S845] the "Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2009" working it's way through the senate, as an amendment to [S1390] the "National Defense Authorization Act".

As much as this would be a good thing, for those of us whom regularly provide for their own (and families) personal safety, isn't this being a bit hypocritical?

I just can't seem to 'get my head around' the fact that we (the states) are bitching about state sovereignty, and then letting the feds tell us that we have to let everyone be the same.

Any thoughts?

Imagine ...
... that you come home to find your house surrounded by the local cops, while they are executing a search warrant. Only to find out that the address on the warrant is wrong, but they have have seized all of your firearms anyway ...

So you demand that your lawfully owned property be returned to you and are denied. Furthermore, if you want them back you must first fill out the required forms, be fingerprinted and submit to a full background check (at their leisure). Weeks later you can go to the property locker and fill out more paperwork and be subjected to more fingerprinting before your property is handed over. Screw that, i'll take 'em to court ... Wrong answer, now your firearms have been destroyed.

WTF!!!

Not only is this scenario wrong on many levels, but it actually happened in Indianapolis. LINK The IMPD's reasoning seems like a very hollow argument to me, not to mention an oxymoron. It would be much easier to just go (legally) purchase some new ones, but thats not the point ...

Never-ending hypocricy from 'The Left'
It would seem that a thug has broken into the house of the late U.S. Rep. Stephanie Tubbs-Jones(D-OH) and stolen a "registered handgun" among other items ... Oh really ? How interesting, that a rabidly anti-gun democrat would keep such a tool, in her self defense toolbox.

Also it is no surprise to note that a *cough* 'columnist' *cough* from Clevelands Plain Dealer newspaper is not only outraged by the break-in, but also writes fiction ...

Mr. Morris, just how does one go about "registering a handgun" in Ohio ?
