Legacy Building ...
We made our annual trek to Wheeling this afternoon to have our family cookie exchange. Dinner at Applebees followed by some exercise wandering around Gander Mountain. Picked up some snap caps for demonstration purposes and some 8x57 rifle dies. And then I stopped by the gun counter to watch a sales clerk demonstrate to an older couple (1st time buyers) how to field strip and clean a 9mm S&W M&P.

I had not seen one disassembled before, and this model, the one they wanted to purchase was already outfitted with a laser sight. The lady noticed me watching, and said something to the effect of, "an animal is one thing maybe, but I just don't know if I could use it on a human being" ... To which I replied, "If it's you or them, when the time comes, you will defend yourself". She just gave me a dubious look and returned to her demonstration.

With Firearm sales and carry permits still rising, and ammo sales just leveling off a bit ... i wonder how Prez. HopeyChangy will enjoy his legacy of arming America.
