So fierce and uncontrollable, welling up so explosively like it was being unleashed from the very bowels of hell.
A day that seemed to drag on forever. Finally getting home from work, to find a big chunk of the High School football team still glued to the TV.

One of my biggest fears is the threat of an EMP discharge in this country. In the blink of an eye we would almost certainly, most of us anyway, be dependent on horse drawn transportation and other 'beasts of burden'. After my many youthful adventures on horseback, I can honestly say ... I don't like them very much. I hate to sound like an alarmist, but this vaguely possible threat is rapidly moving into the realm of a really impending possibility.
It's been in the back of my mind to post something about this, but after reading Doug Ross's post about this yesterday, you can imagine my shock of hearing how real and immanent this threat truly is. Go read it for yourself. JayG has also posted about this today with a link from PISSED, over at The Feral Irishman. JayG also has a link to what the Norks are up too vis-a-vis actively jamming GPS devices in South Korea and the possible threat of an EMP.
The Plot:
"A rare astronomical event causes a permanent worldwide black out, forcing residents of a middle-class suburb to get by with no modern conveniences.
The community pulls together and adapts to a simpler way of life, but their success draws the attention of the less resourceful residents in the area and soon results in a war between subdivisions.
This is their story".
Can't wait to see it. Hopefully they'll wrap up filming it soon.
